OVATE'S MISSION:
To create multi-generational and multi-cultural contemporary and classical theater arts and multi-media with socially relevant themes in education and performance.
The Dual VisionofEducation & Performance OVATE provides professional training in world theatre and film, with emphasis on developing a broader knowledge base for teen and adult performers. Integrating multi-generations in collaborative, diverse and imaginative performances for the community at large in a safe, creative and process-oriented environment, we utilize the Arts as a tool for transformation. Believing that it is essential to pass on knowledge, we provide mentorship in all aspects of theater and film production when applicable. In addition to traditional work, we produce original and blended plays in readings, workshops, and productions. Company members develop a solid foundation in world classics while working together in a specific process-focused, stylized technique. Aspects of visual and fine arts, music, and dance are incorporated in live productions to uphold the artistic vision.
